Job Description
Dave & Buster's is a vibrant and dynamic entertainment restaurant chain known for combining great food, drinks, and a wide range of arcade games to create an unmatched fun-filled atmosphere. Founded to deliver the ultimate experience in dining and entertainment, Dave & Buster's offers a unique venue where families, friends, and colleagues can come together to celebrate and enjoy themselves in a lively and energetic environment. This brand stands out in the restaurant and entertainment industry for its innovative approach to combining hospitality with engaging activities, ensuring that no two days are ever the same for both guests and employees.
The company takes pride in fostering a welcoming work culture that emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and a positive spirit among its staff. With flexible schedules designed to accommodate the needs of students and individuals juggling multiple commitments, Dave & Buster's supports employees with an engaging workplace and attractive benefits, such as medical, dental, vision coverage, 401K plans, and even free access to games and entertainment throughout the establishment.
The position of Barback at Dave & Buster's plays a critical support role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar service area. Barbacks assist bartenders by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and providing the necessary support to deliver prompt and friendly customer service. This role is essential for creating a memorable guest experience by helping maintain an ideal balance of food, drinks, and games that contributes to the brand's appeal as a top destination for social gatherings and celebrations.
Barbacks at Dave & Buster's are responsible for various tasks including restocking garnishes, glassware, straws, and napkins, managing inventory like bottles and keg beer pars, clearing trash, spot-sweeping floors, and preparing the bar for shifts and closures. Their attention to detail helps maintain a warm and fun atmosphere that guests and team members alike appreciate. Furthermore, Barbacks must be well-versed in alcohol awareness procedures and portion guidelines to help ensure responsible service and cost control.
Working in a fast-paced, noisy environment, Barbacks must exhibit efficiency by following the 'Full hands in, Full hands out' philosophy, assisting with party setups and breakdowns, and participating in sales contests and incentives. This role demands flexibility in working hours, often covering days, nights, and weekends, and the physical capacity to stand for prolonged periods, carry up to 30 pounds, and move actively around the facility.
Most importantly, the barback position requires collaboration and a cooperative attitude to foster a harmonious working climate with other team members. Dave & Buster's emphasizes nondiscrimination and inclusivity, providing an equal opportunity work environment and complying with all applicable laws. Offering compensation in the range of $15 to $15.50 per hour, this role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic work setting that blends hospitality with entertainment.
