Job Description
Twin Peaks is a distinctive restaurant and bar chain known for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and a unique beverage program designed to offer a premium experience to its customers. Established in the competitive restaurant industry, Twin Peaks takes pride in maintaining high standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The brand prioritizes a team environment characterized by discipline, pride, and a commitment to excellence which serves as the foundation of its service ethos. Twin Peaks is dedicated to creating a comfortable, clean, and friendly environment where guests can enjoy high-quality food and beverages amid a welcoming atmosphere. As part of this commitment, the bar and beverage area is maintained with the utmost care and professionalism.
The role of the Bar Back at Twin Peaks is a pivotal position within the team, responsible for supporting the bar staff and ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. The Bar Back is expected to maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, restock supplies, and assist with opening and closing procedures to keep the bar running at optimal levels throughout shifts. This job demands a high level of attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are expected to adhere to strict uniform standards, uphold sanitation policies, and possess the physical stamina required to perform essential functions such as lifting, standing for long periods, and handling various bar equipment. This role is vital in helping maintain the quality and integrity of the bar service, supporting bartenders, and contributing to an excellent guest experience.
The Bar Back position requires familiarity with bar operations, including changing kegs, checking taps, and ensuring all appliances are functioning correctly. Employees must be comfortable using training tools like tablets or computers and are expected to complete a detailed training program to be fully certified for the role. Communication skills in English are necessary to comprehend safety protocols, cleaning procedures, and team coordination requirements. Additionally, the Bar Back should display common sense and the ability to follow simple instructions accurately. Training certifications related to food and alcohol service are required to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
Physical demands for this job are notable; the Bar Back must be capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally, and using fine motor skills throughout the shift. The work environment may expose employees to kitchen fumes, humidity, wet conditions, toxic cleaning chemicals, and occasionally cigarette or cigar smoke in designated smoking areas. Despite these challenges, the role offers an opportunity for enthusiastic and disciplined individuals to be part of a dynamic team that values high standards and excellent service. Twin Peaks fosters a work culture focused on teamwork, safety, and service excellence, making it an ideal workplace for individuals who appreciate a structured, yet fast-paced hospitality role.
