  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Food Handler certification or ability to obtain it
  • Must be willing to work various day, night and weekend shifts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Physical stamina to be on feet for long periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Energetic personality
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment preferred
  • Active Food Handler certification or ability to obtain it
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Passion for culinary arts and desire to grow
  • Ability to work various shifts including days, nights and weekends
  • At least 21 years of age

Job Duties

  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry)
  • Experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
  • Read and recreate recipes
  • Consistently prepare food items
  • Prepare cold items, salads, simple side dishes and appetizers
  • Wash and chop vegetables, cut meat and prepare cooking ingredients
  • Take inventory of ingredients to ensure proper par and stock levels
  • Mix and prepare cold sauces, meat glazes, jellies, salad dressings and stuffings
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • Work with culinary team to set up workstations with ingredients and equipment
  • Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients
  • Uphold quality standards for ingredients
