The position of BarBack at Levy is an essential support role that ensures the smooth operation of the bar area. Working closely alongside bartenders and other team members, a BarBack plays a pivotal part in maintaining stock levels, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent service to patrons. This role also includes maintaining cleanliness by bussing tables, washing surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing rubbish to ensure the bar and lounge areas are tidy and inviting. Additionally, BarBacks may assist bartenders by preparing and serving beverages as needed and participating in opening and closing duties. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- capable of lifting and carrying moderate weights
- effective communication skills
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in a team environment
- must comply with health and safety regulations

Job Duties
- Receives liquor, beer, and wine deliveries from storeroom daily
- replenishes liquor, beer, and wine throughout the shift
- retrieves needed food items from the kitchen and delivers to bar area
- retrieves beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area
- sets up bottles on bar with top shelf liquor on back shelf
- ensures beer taps are working properly
- places bar snacks on counter and keeps supplies stocked
- assists in opening and closing side work as assigned
- buses tables in bar area
- helps maintain cleanliness and tidiness of bar and lounge areas including washing surfaces, sweeping, and mopping
- removes rubbish from receptacles
- prepares and serves beverages to assist bartenders
- performs other duties as assigned
