This position requires a detail-oriented and personable Bar Back who will play a critical support role within the Food & Beverage department to help maintain Limelight Hawaii's high standards of service. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Restaurant & Banquet Manager, this role provides a dynamic and fast-paced working environment where teamwork and efficiency are key.
As a Bar Back at Limelight Hawaii, the successful candidate will ensure the bar areas are consistently well-stocked, clean, and organized to facilitate smooth operations for bartenders and servers during entertainment shows, à la carte dinner services, banquet events, and daily lunch offerings. This role is essential in maintaining a seamless beverage service experience across diverse formats, from a bustling high-volume showroom setting to elegant banquet receptions.
Responsibilities in this role include supporting the bar setup and inventory management, assisting with the preparation and maintenance of beverage ingredients and supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety and liquor laws. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years or older
- Current alcohol service certification (Hawaii liquor card) required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift 30 lbs and stand or walk for long periods
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred
- Familiarity with bar inventory and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in bar backing or similar hospitality role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of basic beverage service procedures
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 21 years or older with valid alcohol service certification
Job Duties
- Support bartenders by preparing and restocking bar inventory
- Assist with bar setup and cleaning before, during, and after service
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar stations
