The Bar Back will be responsible for supporting the baristas and other staff by managing various duties that contribute to a seamless and continued flow of service. This position requires an individual who understands the importance of operational efficiency and cleanliness, as well as customer service excellence. Key responsibilities include greeting customers warmly, taking accurate food and drink orders, and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the coffee preparation process, including specialty drinks. The Bar Back will also be tasked with efficiently entering orders into the POS system, maintaining clean workstations, and resetting counters and tables after customers leave. Candidates should have a background or interest in food service regulations and possess certifications such as ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or be willing to obtain them.
