Located in a lively area, our bar prides itself on its vibrant environment, excellent customer service, and dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. We believe that every team member plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch service and ensuring a smooth operation behind the scenes.
As a bar-back, you will be the essential support system for our bartenders, acting as their extra set of hands. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the organization and stock of the bar, assist during peak service times, and help bartenders meet the demands of a fast-paced environment. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and eager to learn the ropes of bartending. Many bartenders actually start their careers as bar-backs, making this role a potential stepping stone for professional growth and advancement within the bar and hospitality field.
Your duties as a bar-back include a variety of tasks essential to the smooth running of the bar. You will be responsible for cleaning and wiping down bar counters, furniture, and tabletops to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests. Washing glasses and dishes promptly and maintaining a spotless work area will also be within your scope of work. Handling drink spills and broken glassware efficiently will help maintain safety and cleanliness standards. Restocking and replenishing liquor, garnishes, and supplies behind the bar will ensure bartenders never run out of essential items during busy service hours. Additionally, you will be tasked with changing beer kegs, emptying trash, and refilling ice wells, all vital for seamless bar operation. The position requires an energetic and proactive individual who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in supporting their colleagues. We offer a supportive work culture and encourage employees to develop their skills and knowledge in the hospitality industry.
