Job Requirements
- be approachable and able to maintain a friendly demeanor even during busy times
- be available to work various shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends, as needed
- thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment with a moderate to high noise level
- be able to understand and communicate instructions and information effectively
- be able to lift and carry items such as cases of beverages, ice bins, and bus tubs, weighing up to 30 pounds
- move efficiently around the bar area and stand for extended periods
- be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their shift
- frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
- meet the minimum age requirements for serving or handling alcohol as per local regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or fast-paced customer service environment is a plus
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety guidelines is preferred
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties during busy times
- friendly and approachable demeanor towards guests and team members
Job Duties
- play a crucial role in delivering top-notch drink service that complements our food and games, contributing to an atmosphere of all-out fun for our guests
- keep the bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock, spills, or equipment issues, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- provide efficient support by promptly restocking bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice bins are full, helping to minimize wait times for guests
- maintain a positive and helpful attitude while assisting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
- assist with guest requests by relaying information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and organized for a positive guest experience
- support the bartender by retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items quickly and efficiently
- ensure empty glasses are collected and the bar area is kept tidy throughout service
- alert the bartender or manager to any guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
- adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and safety
- stock and organize all bar-related supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes, in designated storage areas
- assist with inventory counts of bar stock as required
- check for and replenish all necessary bar supplies before, during, and after service, reporting any shortages to the manager
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entire bar area, including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage spaces
- assist other team members as needed to ensure smooth overall operations
- maintain positive working relationships with all Dave and Buster's team members to create a supportive and productive environment
- must meet the minimum age requirement for serving or handling alcohol as per local regulations
