The Bar Assistant role at Dave & Buster's is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bar area. Job Requirements

must be of minimum legal age to serve or handle alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
physical capacity to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds
ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the scheduled shift
ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe surfaces frequently
approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during peak hours
ability to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a hospitality or bar environment preferred but not required
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
knowledge of basic bar operations and beverage preparation is an asset
ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy periods

Job Duties

plays a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements our food and entertainment, contributing to a fun and exciting atmosphere for our guests
keeps the bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
provides efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained, helping to minimize guest wait times
maintains a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
assists with guest inquiries by relaying information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized for a positive guest experience
supports the bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
ensures that empty glassware is collected and the bar area remains tidy throughout service
