The Bar Assistant position at Dave & Buster's is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of the bar area, ensuring that both bartenders and guests have everything they need to enjoy their experience. This role involves supporting bartenders by replenishing supplies, managing stock levels, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar. Job Requirements

Be of minimum legal age to serve or handle alcohol according to local laws
Be approachable and maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during peak hours
Be available to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
Thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
Understand and effectively communicate instructions
Be able to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds
Move efficiently within the bar area and stand for extended periods
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces
Able to walk or stand for the entire scheduled shift
Comply with all company policies on responsible alcohol service and safety

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is an advantage
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of bar operations and responsible alcohol service
Ability to multitask and anticipate the needs of bartenders and guests
Positive attitude and willingness to support team members
Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures diligently

Job Duties

Play a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment
Keep the bartender and supervisor informed about low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
Provide efficient assistance by replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and maintaining ice levels
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
Assist with guest inquiries, relay information to bartenders, and ensure bar cleanliness and organization
Support the bartender by retrieving ingredients, glassware, and necessary items promptly
Collect empty glassware and keep the bar area tidy throughout service
Inform the bartender or manager of any guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
Adhere to company policies regarding responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
Stock and organize bar supplies including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
Assist with periodic inventory counts of bar stock
Check and replenish bar supplies before, during, and after service, reporting shortages
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire bar area including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas
Provide assistance to other team members to ensure efficient overall operations
Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
Meet minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
