The Bar Assistant position at Dave & Buster's plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bar area. The role supports Bartenders by handling essential tasks that facilitate a seamless service flow, allowing Bartenders to focus on delivering exceptional drink service and creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Responsibilities include maintaining bar supplies, preparing garnishes, replenishing ice and glassware, and keeping the bar clean and organized. The Bar Assistant is also responsible for adhering to all company policies concerning responsible alcohol service and safety regulations. Job Requirements

Be approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner, even during peak hours
Be available to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and/or weekends, as required
Thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment with a moderate to high noise level
Be able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
Be able to lift and carry items such as beverage cases, ice containers, and bus tubs, weighing up to 30 pounds
Move efficiently within the bar area and stand for extended periods of time
Be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their scheduled shift
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented setting
Basic knowledge of bar equipment and drink preparation
Commitment to following responsible alcohol service guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to meet legal age requirements for alcohol service

Job Duties

Plays a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements our food and entertainment, contributing to a fun and exciting atmosphere for our Guests
Keeps the Bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
Provides efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained, helping to minimize guest wait times
Maintains a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the Bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
Assists with Guest inquiries by relaying information to the Bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized for a positive Guest experience
Supports the Bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
Ensures that empty glassware is collected and the bar area remains tidy throughout service
Informs the Bartender or Manager of any Guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
Adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
Responsible for stocking and organizing all bar-related supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes, in designated storage locations
Assists with periodic inventory counts of bar stock as needed
Checks and replenishes all necessary bar supplies before, during, and after service
Reports any shortages to the Manager
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the entire bar area, including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas
Provides assistance to other team members as needed to ensure efficient overall operations
Maintains positive working relationships with all Dave & Buster's team members to foster a supportive and productive work environment
Must meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
