The position is divided into AM and PM shifts, with pay rates of $10 per hour plus tips for the AM shift and $8 per hour plus tips for the PM shift. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of all beverage options, bar menu items, proper service procedures, and will demonstrate a proactive approach to guest needs. Job Duties

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information
  • Suggestively sell menu items, beverages, and wines
  • Work without direct supervision
  • Promote specials and maintain complete knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, wine characteristics, designated glassware and garnish
  • Maintain knowledge of bar menu items, preparation, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, and prices
  • Ensure proper bar layouts, table, seat, station numbers, and room capacity
  • Follow service procedures and correct maintenance and use of equipment
  • Adhere to all department policies and daily specials
  • Monitor problems with intoxicated guests and relay to manager
  • Check storage area for supplies, organization, and cleanliness
  • Maintain quality and amounts of garnishes
  • Ensure bar setups meet cleanliness and departmental standards
  • Monitor bar environment for compliance with cleanliness and order
  • Adhere to grooming and attire policy
  • Ensure bar is properly stocked before shift
  • Anticipate guest needs and promote positive guest relations
  • Monitor guest complaints and notify management for resolution
