Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must complete RBS (Responsible Beverage Safety) alcohol awareness certification as scheduled upon employment
- must have a valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
- knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and company policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- ability to perform basic math skills
- ability to follow safety rules and operating procedures
- availability to work holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
- prior banquet or convention service experience desired

- knowledge of applicable health and alcohol service laws and policies
Job Duties
- Serve customers at assigned station quickly, courteously, and efficiently
- obtain food and beverage from prescribed locations and serve according to established procedures
- keep glasses filled throughout the meal
- observe guests to fulfill additional requests and note when meal is finished
- assist other servers cooperatively to ensure efficient guest service
- complete assigned side work as directed
- set dining tables to established standards
- remove dinnerware, glassware, flatware, and linens that do not meet cleanliness standards
- complete pre, running, and post shift side work
- familiarize self with daily menu items
- set tables and rooms with linens and china
- clean away service accessories after events
- clear dirty dishes from tables
- prepare coffee service with appropriate food and beverages
- follow all food handling, RBS certification, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- maintain a neat, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests
- assist other servers in clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- assist with setup or breakdown of function space when needed
- notify management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance, and accidents
- ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
- notify management of guest complaints, intoxication, or disruptive behavior
