Job Requirements

  • RBS certification required prior to employment
  • must complete CA Food Handler's Card training provided upon hire
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of NCR system operations
  • prior experience in bartending or hospitality preferred

Job Qualifications

  • maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and colleagues
  • serve guests according to resort standards in a professional manner
  • respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents and communicate to management
  • set all tables according to resort standards
  • maintain banquet storeroom neatly and stocked
  • follow money handling procedures
  • use suggestive selling techniques
  • know menu items and provide accurate descriptions
  • attend meetings and training as required
  • perform other duties as requested by management

Job Duties

  • Make drinks for servers and customers
  • act professionally while on duty
  • keep bar clean and stocked at all times
  • act as cashier and manage a bank for all checks opened under your server number
  • balance the bank daily
  • possess knowledge of all drinks, recipes, and specials
  • complete pour tests as needed
  • fill requisitions and keep bar stocked with fresh cut fruit, ice, and necessary items
  • tender all checks and close out servers at shift end
  • operate NCR system including running necessary reports
  • have basic menu knowledge and daily specials
  • service customers at the bar and lounge area
  • keep bar and lounge spotless
  • never leave bar unattended without a qualified person covering
  • answer phone when required and handle or redirect customer questions appropriately
