The Banquet Manager role at Schulte Hospitality Group is designed for a dynamic, service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Job Duties
- Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales and labor costs
- achieve maximum profitability and overall success by controlling costs and quality of service
- completion of banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately and timely
- produce a weekly schedule for hotel food and beverage staff according to business levels and labor budgets
- supervise and coordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet setups and service
- completion of banquet bar requisitions
- follow proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures
- maintain records for inventory, labor cost, and food cost
- assist in menu planning and pricing
- ensure services meet customer specifications
- ensure quality of meeting room setup and timely turnover
- ensure all areas are kept clean before, during and after events
- participate in overall hotel maintenance and cleanliness
- handle customer complaints professionally
- work with the catering sales manager to increase department sales and assist with show rounds
- check staff attitude and appearance
- promote teamwork and professional relations with co-workers and management
- ensure staff is properly trained and complete training checklists timely
- conduct staff training and development including annual performance reviews
- provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and personal development
- perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
