Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume environment
- Relevant culinary education or equivalent professional experience
- Serve Safe Certification preferred
- Compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations
- Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of high volume kitchen management experience
- Prior catering or banquet experience preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience with employee coaching, counseling, and documentation
- Knowledge of documenting and enforcing food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Serve Safe Certification preferred
- Allergy Awareness Training preferred
- Strong culinary skills proficient in various cooking methods
- Ability to perform food cost analysis and minimize waste
- Thorough understanding of kitchen equipment operation
- Financial acumen regarding food costs
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative and seasonal menus
- Contribute to menu planning and recipe development including creating and testing new dishes and specials
- Oversee food preparation and cooking activities ensuring recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards are met
- Supervise and assist kitchen staff in various culinary tasks ensuring consistency and excellence
- Coordinate and manage kitchen operations including ordering, inventory management, production scheduling, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment complying with health and safety regulations
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff providing guidance and coaching to improve skills and team performance
