We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Banquet Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This permanent role provides an annual salary of $80,000 plus an attractive benefits package. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading and managing banquet kitchen operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality food for conferences, wedding celebrations, corporate events, and special gatherings. As Banquet Sous Chef, you will work closely with the executive culinary team and the broader hotel staff to maintain impeccable standards of food preparation and presentation for large groups. Job Requirements
- culinary degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of 3 years experience in banquet or large-scale kitchen operations
- strong leadership and organizational abilities
- excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- team player with excellent communication skills
- passion for culinary excellence and innovation
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in banquet kitchen operations
- culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques
- familiarity with health regulations and safety standards in a professional kitchen
- ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- lead banquet kitchen operations to deliver high-quality food for events
