Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 4 plus years of culinary experience with supervisory skills
- ability to stand for long periods
- willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- capable of performing all basic cooking skills
- culinary education or relevant on-the-job training preferred
- strong leadership abilities
- commitment to excellent customer service
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 4 years of culinary experience with supervisory experience
- experience working in the hotel industry preferred
- professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures
- strong leadership and communication skills
- culinary education or on-the-job training preferred
- proven ability to produce consistent food products in a fast-paced environment
- committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- creative and energetic personality
Job Duties
- manage and assist hourly cooks in food preparation according to menu guidelines
- ensure consistent quality of food products in a timely manner
- communicate effectively with the culinary team and front-of-house staff
- uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- train employees on departmental standards and hold them accountable
- monitor payroll costs and control overtime
- demonstrate Hyatt core values including empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing
