Job Description

The Attic at Waterman’s, Festival on 8th, The Shack, and select off-site venues comprise a vibrant network of event spaces renowned for hosting a diverse array of private and large-scale events. These venues are celebrated for their unique atmospheres, exemplary service, and commitment to creating memorable experiences during weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and community gatherings. With a strong reputation in the hospitality industry, they emphasize a team-oriented culture and excellence in event execution, making them premier destinations for both clients and professionals seeking career growth within the hospitality sector.

The Banquet Service Staff position is an essential role within this dynamic environment, providing critical operational support during events predominantly scheduled in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role requires individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings, are physically prepared for demanding tasks, and possess a keen attention to detail to ensure seamless event flow and guest satisfaction. Working alongside experienced hospitality professionals, the Banquet Service Staff play a hands-on role, supporting everything from event setup and bar preparation to maintaining buffet stations and post-event breakdowns.

Responsibilities include assisting bartenders with stocking supplies and maintaining bar operations, replenishing food at buffet stations, supporting banquet servers with table maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout all event spaces and back-of-house areas. This position not only demands physical stamina—such as lifting 50+ pounds regularly and standing for extended periods—but also requires flexibility and reliability to meet the scheduling needs dictated by event demands, particularly during peak holiday weekends and large-scale gatherings.

Beyond the operational aspects, this role offers invaluable opportunities for individuals interested in building a career in hospitality. Team members gain comprehensive exposure to banquet service, bar operations, and event logistics, acquiring transferable skills applicable across hotels, restaurants, and various event venues. The flexibility of the event-based scheduling accommodates those balancing other commitments like education or multiple jobs, while the supportive team environment fosters growth and advancement for high-performing, dependable employees. Overall, the Banquet Service Staff position represents a rewarding entry point into the hospitality industry, providing a vibrant, engaging work experience centered around creating unforgettable events.
