The Banquet Server role at Waltham Woods, located in Waltham, MA, is an essential position within Sodexo Live!’s event execution team. This role involves delivering professional and efficient food and beverage services during various events, with a sharp focus on guest satisfaction and event standards. Job Requirements

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors temperature extremes and excessive noise
  • must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight
  • must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment
  • hours may be extended or irregular to include nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a banquet server waiter waitress or in a similar role in the food and beverage or hospitality industry is preferred
  • strong multitasking and time management skills with the ability to stay composed and efficient during busy events
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide a welcoming and accommodating experience for guests
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods carry heavy trays and move quickly while maintaining precision and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications including setting up tables chairs linens and service stations while ensuring all items meet quality and presentation standards
  • provide attentive and professional food and beverage service to guests during events including serving courses refilling beverages and promptly addressing guest needs
  • break down and clean event spaces after services including clearing tables storing equipment and resetting the room for the next event while adhering to company cleanliness standards
