The available role centers around providing exceptional Food and Beverage services at the City’s Golf Course restaurants and banquet facilities. This part-time, seasonal position pays $12.00 per hour plus tips and requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting and expanding the use of the Golf Course events facilities, including golf outings, banquets, wedding ceremonies, and receptions. In this role, you will ensure guests experience outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere, while working closely with golf operations and other team members to maintain smooth, efficient operations of the banquet and dining services. Job Requirements
- ability to obtain knowledge in golf, weddings, catering, customer service, and food and beverage industry
- ability to assist with golf activities, weddings, banquets, and other events involving food or beverage
- ability to communicate clearly with staff and public
- maintain congenial rapport with those contacted
- willingness to work evenings and weekends
- ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, talk or hear regularly
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently
- visual abilities including peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- ability to handle stress from human behavior and pressure
- willingness to work long hours during busy seasonal demands
Job Qualifications
- graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent preferred
- food and beverage, catering, or bartending experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- foreign language skills helpful
- ability to communicate clearly and maintain congenial rapport with staff and the public
- current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one
- current alcohol serving certifications and training preferred
Job Duties
- perform assigned duties related to banquet and meeting room facilities at the golf courses
- perform public relations and customer service to provide a positive experience for guests
- communicate with supervisors, staff, golf operations, and public for efficient banquet facility operations
- keep banquet facilities clean, safe, and visually pleasing through inspection, maintenance, and cleaning
- collaborate as a team member with pro-shop, maintenance, and food and beverage staff
- ensure operations comply with safety laws and protect employees
- report any dangerous or harmful situations promptly
- complete daily side work checklists
