The Banquet Server position at Oak View Group plays a crucial role in the company’s mission to provide outstanding guest experiences during events. This role is essential for the seamless delivery of professional food and beverage service, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well-attended throughout various types of events, such as formal galas, corporate functions, and wedding receptions. The Banquet Server's responsibilities begin with setting up banquet spaces according to event specifications and end with maintaining cleanliness and organization during and after the event. This position requires close collaboration with kitchen and event staff to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of meal courses while adapting to guests’ needs in real-time.

Banquet Servers at OVG are expected to embody the highest standards of hospitality professionalism, attention to detail, and guest-focused service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED strong preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets or restaurants preferred
  • Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and select holidays
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Must be able to stand for extend periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach out with the body, arms and/or legs
  • Must be punctual with consistent attendance
  • Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies

Job Duties

  • Reads and understands banquet event orders
  • Provides fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service
  • Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met
  • Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service
  • Maintain and inventory for both food and beverage stations
  • Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
  • Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
