Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in banquet operations or hospitality preferred
- minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- completion of ServSafe or equivalent food safety training
- completion of alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
- ability to communicate effectively with guests management and co-workers
- capability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform job duties including standing and carrying trays
- familiarity with hotel services and local attractions
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in banquet operations and or hospitality preferred
- ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers to their understanding
- high school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
- minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
- servesafe and or food safety training
- alcohol awareness training such as tips
- bilingual english spanish a plus
- knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
Job Duties
- be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts as required to meet the needs of the companys business operations
- maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel shaner and franchise specifications
- greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating at tables
- take and retrieve guests alcoholic beverage orders utilizing suggestive selling techniques when specified on function requirements
- serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements
- anticipate guests needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests always maintain positive guest relations
- be familiar with all hotel services features and local attractions activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas
- perform other duties as assigned
