Job Requirements

High school diploma preferred
No experience required
Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests
Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred
Dependable and reliable to meet demands of 24-hour operation with flexible schedule
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns positively
Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills including English proficiency
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to stand and move continuously
Hearing and visual ability to detect emergency signs
Must represent company professionally and courteously

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Set up tables with china, silverware, and other service equipment in accordance with event order and break down assigned banquet rooms according to manager's instructions
Maintain standards of quality and service according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards
Prepare work areas such as coffee stations and bread stations prior to function
Service food and beverages according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards
Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from supervisors or managers
Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors, and managers
Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas
