Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • No experience required
  • Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred
  • Dependable and reliable to meet demands of 24-hour operation with flexible schedule
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns positively
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills including English proficiency
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand and move continuously
  • Hearing and visual ability to detect emergency signs
  • Must represent company professionally and courteously

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up tables with china, silverware, and other service equipment in accordance with event order and break down assigned banquet rooms according to manager's instructions
  • Maintain standards of quality and service according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards
  • Prepare work areas such as coffee stations and bread stations prior to function
  • Service food and beverages according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards
  • Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from supervisors or managers
  • Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors, and managers
  • Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas
