Job Requirements
- Previous banquet experience required
- ability to work an on call schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift moderate weights
- reliable transportation to the University of Texas at Austin location
- willingness to adhere to company dress code and grooming standards

- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- basic understanding of dietary restrictions and allergen information
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- assist guests with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and dietary preferences
- communicate effectively with kitchen and back-of-house staff
- collect tickets and handle cash transactions properly
- uphold a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- address guest complaints and relay information to supervisor
- ensure dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
- perform additional duties as assigned
