We are currently looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join the team at the Doubletree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and creating extraordinary guest experiences. The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in setting up banquet rooms for various functions, providing exemplary service during events, and ensuring the space is efficiently cleared and maintained afterward. From draping tables, arranging silverware, folding napkins, and preparing beverages, to serving food and interacting warmly with guests, this role offers a dynamic and engaging workday.
This position demands strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments, and a genuine passion for service excellence. Banquet Servers also assist with food and beverage preparation, keep event areas clean and organized, and provide information about menu items including cooking methods and ingredients to guests. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant food service or banquet experience
- knowledge of alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- capability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- willingness to assist with various event-related duties

Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms for functions including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and placing table centerpieces
- Serve food and beverages by picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays, serving, and clearing tables
- Bus tables and break down banquet rooms including putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming, and cleaning the back hall
- Set up AM or PM break stations including coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
- Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs
- Prepare food and beverage items such as condiments and brewed coffee, ensuring workstations are stocked
- Provide exceptional guest service by explaining menu items, addressing special requests, and maintaining professional communication with guests and staff
