The open position is for a Banquet Server, a vital role in ensuring that banquet functions run smoothly. The Banquet Server is responsible for preparing banquet rooms, setting tables, serving guests with food and beverages, bus tables, and assisting with clean-up after events. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina due to the nature of the duties such as lifting and standing for extended periods. The Banquet Server plays a key role in delivering warm, friendly, and professional service that enhances the guest experience while working closely with fellow team members and other departments.
This full-time position offers an hourly wage starting at $13 with service charge payouts that can increase total earnings to between $13 and $18 per hour, paid biweekly. Employees at the Texas A&M Hotel also benefit from a 401k plan with company match and immediate vesting after 90 days, access to wellness platforms for themselves and household members, pet insurance discounts, tuition reimbursement eligibility after 12 months of service, and extensive training programs tailored to both hospitality and non-hospitality skills. The role involves working flexible hours, including high-demand days such as Texas A&M football games, graduations, and special events where overtime may be necessary.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in banquet or hospitality service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work on call with 0-15 hours per week depending on business needs
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing and lifting heavy items
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must uphold Pyramid Global Hospitality’s core values including positivity, respect, integrity, dedication, and excellence
Job Qualifications
- Food and beverage experience preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods depending on event requirements
- Ability to lift 35-50 lbs
- Pleasant and helpful personality
Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms including dropping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces
- Serve food and beverages to guests during banquet functions
- Bus tables and clear food and dishes throughout and after events
- Tear down banquet rooms post-function, including putting away dirty linens and centerpieces and vacuuming
- Clean and organize back hall and storerooms
- Perform food and beverage preparation tasks such as preparing condiments and brewing coffee
- Provide warm and sincere guest welcomes and farewells while delivering excellent customer service
