Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a restaurant or event/banquet server
  • TIPS Alcohol service certification is preferred
  • Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Fluent in English verbally and non-verbally
  • Able to stand and walk continuously during shift
  • Able to perform fine motor tasks such as pouring beverages and folding napkins
  • Able to roll and carry tables and chairs
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 lb. occasionally
  • Able to navigate various floor surfaces safely
  • Able to handle lighted candles and hot fluids
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures briefly

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for the People, Place and Culture of our community, love of restaurants and guest service
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a restaurant or event/banquet server in either a free-standing restaurant, event center or hotel restaurant
  • TIPS Alcohol service certification is preferred
  • Must meet local age requirements in order to serve alcohol
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Fine motor coordination to pour beverages, decorate cocktails, and fold napkins
  • Ability to roll and/or carry tables and chairs
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lb. trays, crates or boxes occasionally
  • Excellent sight and balance for negotiating varied floor surfaces
  • Ability to handle lighted candles and hot fluids such as coffee and tea
  • Ability to work briefly in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10*F) and kitchens (+110*F)

Job Duties

  • Uphold and model the company's principles of People, Place and Character, driving collaboration, intuition and translocal hospitality
  • Assist in all aspects of the guest experience from event beginning to end by extending a friendly greeting, ensuring proper steps of service are adhered to in order to create an exceptional guest experience, executing on requests in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring satisfaction throughout and adjusting as necessary
  • Participate in pre-event line ups
  • Simultaneously providing constructive feedback and strategizing to overcome and correct any previously missed opportunities
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the event's menu and menu ingredients
  • Serve alcohol safely, responsibly, and legally
  • Serve food and beverage items based upon the event specifications and the guest's specific requests
  • Ensure your prep work area is clean and organized, with the utmost respect for your guests, peers, and equipment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic culinary and beverage terms and strive to know more through constant study of your craft, utilizing your knowledge of the food and beverage menu to create exceptional dining experiences
  • Observe conditions of all physical facilities and relay any challenges to the food and beverage leadership team to make corrections and improvements as needed, and communicate promptly with the F+B and Culinary teams to ensure all guests get their food as ordered in timely fashion
  • Assist in other areas of the F+B Department as needed
