Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of banquet service experience
- must be 21 years or older
- possession of Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification
- ability to work in varying temperatures including extreme heat and cold
- ability to stand and move for up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- good communication and customer service skills
- basic computer proficiency
- adherence to grooming and attendance policies
- ability to work varying schedules
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of high-volume banquet service experience
- hotel or resort banquet experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification
- must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
- good communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
- basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- ability to describe menu items and preparation methods
- leadership capability and customer relations skills
Job Duties
- Serve guests food and drinks during events as required
- answer questions related to buffet or menu
- bus and set tables including condiments as needed
- assist with event room set-up including tablecloths, dishes, and silverware
- check all china, glassware, silverware, and linen items needed for the event
- be aware of upcoming groups and major conventions
- read all assigned banquet menus and ask if specific items are unclear
- ensure food is served at appropriate temperature and entrees are placed properly
- handle all equipment properly including storage after use
- participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
- assist guests professionally and courteously with high-quality customer service
- perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
