Job Requirements

High school education or equivalent
1 to 3 years of banquet service experience
must be 21 years or older
possession of Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification
ability to work in varying temperatures including extreme heat and cold
ability to stand and move for up to four hours
ability to lift up to 45 lbs
ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
good communication and customer service skills
basic computer proficiency
adherence to grooming and attendance policies
ability to work varying schedules
ability to perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of high-volume banquet service experience
hotel or resort banquet experience preferred
Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification
must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
good communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
ability to describe menu items and preparation methods
leadership capability and customer relations skills

Job Duties

Serve guests food and drinks during events as required
answer questions related to buffet or menu
bus and set tables including condiments as needed
assist with event room set-up including tablecloths, dishes, and silverware
check all china, glassware, silverware, and linen items needed for the event
be aware of upcoming groups and major conventions
read all assigned banquet menus and ask if specific items are unclear
ensure food is served at appropriate temperature and entrees are placed properly
handle all equipment properly including storage after use
participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
assist guests professionally and courteously with high-quality customer service
perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
