Job Description
The hiring establishment is a premier upscale hotel and resort known for providing exceptional food and beverage services in a luxurious and welcoming environment. This establishment prides itself on delivering high-quality banquet and catering experiences for various events, including banquets, concerts, and private catered functions. Guests enjoy beautifully set rooms, professionally presented buffet stations, and attentive, courteous service from a team dedicated to maintaining the highest hospitality standards. The company operates within a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality setting, serving a diverse clientele whose satisfaction is paramount to the business's success.
The role being offered is that of a Banquet Server, a vital position responsible for assisting the banquet manager, assistant manager, and captains to ensure all banquet functions and catered events run smoothly. This is a full-time role focused on delivering service in a timely, efficient, and professional manner aligned with the establishment’s service standards. The Banquet Server will have primary duties including setting up banquet and table arrangements according to specific event plans, managing buffet presentations, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization throughout the service areas. The role requires familiarity with various service elements such as napkin folds, menu comprehension, and banquet service etiquette, all aimed at enhancing guest experience.
In this position, the Banquet Server will also manage inventory awareness, knowing the location and use of all banquet items, materials, and service ware. The role demands strict adherence to hygiene standards and company policies, including possessing a current Food Handlers Card and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance at all times. Employees are expected to be customer-service oriented, flexible with their duties as business needs evolve, and maintain professionalism even under busy event conditions.
Working in this banquet and catering service role offers a dynamic work environment where physical stamina and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary. This is not a supervisory position but requires a cooperative team spirit and the ability to follow detailed guidelines and instructions from the management team. Given the setting, employees may experience exposure to second-hand smoke and moderate noise levels, particularly when working casino or bowling center events. This role is ideal for those passionate about the hospitality industry who aim to grow their experience in a respected upscale resort or hotel environment, contributing positively to memorable guest experiences while working with a dedicated events team.
