The role available at Dearborn Inn is that of a Guest Event Expert, a full-time, non-management position in the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This role is integral to the seamless execution of events, extending far beyond typical serving duties. The Guest Event Expert is trained across various event execution functions to ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish. Responsibilities include preparing or selecting materials, transporting items, taking orders, engaging with guests, and performing multiple tasks that contribute to an exceptional guest experience. The position requires staff who are active throughout their shift, involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, as well as physical activities such as moving, lifting, pushing, or placing items under 25 pounds without assistance. Ensuring these tasks are done well is critical to guest satisfaction and overall hotel operation.

The role requires maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism, including adherence to company guidelines, proper uniform and appearance, and effective communication. Server experience is preferred for this position, which offers a wage of $9.25 per hour plus gratuity. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, and some related work experience, although supervisory experience is not required. No specific licenses or certifications are necessary for this role.
