The Banquet Server role at HHM Hotels is a dynamic position that plays a vital part in the success of the banquet and event services offered by the company. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for setting up banquet rooms and serving food and beverages in alignment with established guest service standards and sustainability initiatives. The position offers an hourly compensation of $22.50 and provides a clear progression path that includes roles such as Banquet Captain, Assistant Banquet Manager, and Banquet Manager, highlighting the company’s commitment to employee advancement and career growth.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve preparing banquet rooms as directed by supervisors, attending roll call meetings to understand the specifics of each function, and serving food and beverages according to the expectations established. A key focus is on maintaining consistency throughout the banquet service, ensuring beverages are replenished promptly, and guests are satisfied with their experience. You will also manage the removal of dishes once guests have completed each course and respond proactively to special requests or any guest complaints. Compliance with all applicable state, federal, and corporate regulations, especially those related to serving alcoholic beverages, is essential. Additionally, practicing safe work habits, including wearing protective equipment and adhering to OSHA and MSDS standards, is mandatory.

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor
  • Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars including guest and hotel expectations
  • Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction
  • Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function
  • Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Practice safe work habits
  • wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
