The role of Banquet Server at Legends Global is a vital position within their Food & Beverage department, offered on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Banquet Manager and Banquet Captain, this position is classified as non-exempt, meaning it is eligible for overtime compensation. The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events and functions. This role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing a positive guest experience.

Banquet Servers work closely with the Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager, and other event staff to seamlessly manage the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events. Responsibilities include assisting with the collection and preparation of banquet equipment like flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces, preparing garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread, and ensuring that tables are set with proper place settings. Maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to local food codes are also essential parts of the job.

Given the nature of the events, the Banquet Server must be physically able to stand, walk, push, and pull equipment, sometimes lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires good oral communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with other staff members and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability and self-motivation are critical, as the work environment often involves frequent changes and unpredictable events.

Located at the Broward County Convention Center, this position offers a dynamic working environment where no two days are the same. The server must be prepared to work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of various events. The job is hands-on and requires a high level of interaction with staff and guests alike.

Legends Global values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, encouraging women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans to apply. This role represents an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and are eager to contribute to prestigious events and venues worldwide.
