Located at Mountain Meadows Golf Course in Pomona, California, American Golf offers exciting opportunities for individuals passionate about hospitality and golf services. We are seeking a Banquet Server to join our team, a role that is vital in delivering a superior dining and event experience for our guests and members during special functions. The Banquet Server will be responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving attendees with professionalism and hospitality, ensuring every event runs smoothly and guests feel valued and attended to. This position calls for an individual with excellent customer service skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced settings. The Banquet Server supports the Banquet Managers and works closely with the team to set up banquet rooms with glassware, service ware, and linens, and to serve beverages and menu courses in the correct sequence. They also maintain compliance with all laws and corporate policies related to serving alcoholic beverages and ensure guests are satisfied throughout the event.

The role involves considerable physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting, which adds vitality and engagement to the work setting. Candidates should expect dynamic work hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules. Job Duties

  • assist banquet managers in welcoming, serving, and providing a positive experience to members and guests during banquet functions
  • setup banquet room as requested by the supervisor to include glassware, service ware, and linen
  • attend roll call meetings prior to banquet kick off to learn responsibilities and expectations
  • serve beverages and menu courses in appropriate order
  • remove plates, service ware, and glassware as guests and members finish their courses
  • abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests and members to ensure they are satisfied
  • perform other related functions that may be assigned
