Job Requirements
- One year of experience
- knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- demonstrated customer service experience
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- effective communication skills in English
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- professional presentation in line with hotel environment
- commitment to USC’s Unifying Values
- valid CA driver’s license with participation in DMV Pull Notice System
- high school diploma not required

Job Duties
- Provide professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests
- take accurate food and beverage orders and provide suggestions to customers based on established menus
- provide basic hot and cold food and beverage preparation service from recipes
- serve food and beverages to customers and check orders for accuracy before presentation
- maintain established presentation standards for food and beverages
- attend to customers during dining experiences and provide excellent customer service
- conduct service transactions and process payments in compliance with cash handling policies
- stock and maintain all supplies, food, items, and utensils
- assist in set-up and break-down of dining room/event
- deliver food items to various locations on university campus and offsite catering events
- maintain cleanliness of facilities and bus tables as necessary
- assist in kitchen sanitation program and comply with standard food handling and sanitation procedures
- adhere to department service standards and all health, safety, and university rules and regulations
- attend and participate in meetings as required
- report to station ready to work at the scheduled time
- perform other related duties as assigned or requested
