Job Requirements
- High school diploma not required
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Presents oneself professionally in line with hotel environment
- Strong commitment to USC’s Unifying Values
- Valid CA driver’s license required
- Participation in DMV Pull Notice System required
- DMV record check upon employment finalization

- Experience in high volume restaurant operation preferred
- Knowledge of craft beers preferred
- Experience in a gastropub environment preferred
Job Duties
- Provide professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide suggestions based on established menus
- Provide basic hot and cold food and beverage preparation service from recipes
- Serve food and beverages to customers and check orders for accuracy
- Maintain established presentation standards for food and beverages
- Conduct service transactions and process payments complying with cash handling and university policies
- Stock and maintain supplies, food items, and utensils
- Assist in set-up and break-down of dining room/event
- Deliver food items to various locations on campus and offsite catering events
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities by bussing tables and assisting in kitchen sanitation
- Comply with standard food handling and sanitation procedures
- Adhere to department service standards, health, safety, and university regulations
- Attend and participate in meetings as required
- Report to station ready to work at scheduled time
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
