Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- One year of experience in food service or related field
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Present oneself professionally in line with hotel environment
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Must participate in DMV Pull Notice System and provide DMV record as condition of employment

Job Duties
- Provide professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide suggestions based on established menus
- Provide basic hot and cold food and beverage preparation service from recipes
- Serve food and beverages to customers and check orders for accuracy
- Maintain established presentation standards for food and beverages
- Attend to customers during their dining experiences and provide excellent customer service
- Conduct service transactions including processing payments in compliance with cash handling policies
- Stock and maintain all supplies, food items, and utensils
- Assist in set-up and break-down of dining room and event spaces
- Deliver food items to various locations on campus and offsite catering events
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and bus tables as necessary
- Assist in kitchen sanitation and comply with food handling procedures
- Adhere to department service standards, health, safety, and university regulations
- Participate in meetings and perform other related duties as assigned
