Job Description
Choice Hotels International, Inc (NYSE: CHH) is one of the largest lodging franchisors in the world, operating a diverse portfolio of more than 7,400 hotels across 45 countries and territories. Known for its extensive range of 22 hotel brands, Choice Hotels caters to upscale, midscale, extended stay, and economy lodging segments, positioning itself both as a challenger in the upscale market and a leader in midscale and extended stay offerings. The company is dedicated to providing exceptional value for franchise owners and shareholders, delivering superior guest experiences through its acclaimed Choice Privileges loyalty program and strategic co-brand credit card partnerships. With such a broad and diverse presence, Choice Hotels continues to innovate in hospitality, focusing on personalized service and rewarding guest loyalty in an increasingly competitive industry.
The Banquet Server role at Choice Hotels is an essential position dedicated to ensuring the highest level of food and beverage service for banquet guests. This hourly position offers a pay rate of $12.50 per hour and emphasizes delivering 100% guest satisfaction by providing prompt, courteous, and quality service to guests during banquet events. The server’s responsibilities include not only serving food, coffee, water, and other beverages but also setting and clearing tables according to company standards, maintaining cleanliness in banquet rooms and kitchens, and cooperating with fellow servers to enhance the overall guest experience. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing guest needs while fostering genuine hospitality.
Choice Hotels advocates a work culture grounded in its Cultural Values: Welcome and Respect Everyone, Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious, and Show Integrity. These values are integral to the role of the Banquet Server and contribute to promoting Loyalty, Growth, and the Hospitality Spirit within the company. Employees in this role must adapt to a hospitality environment that operates 24/7, accepting that shift changes and adjustments to duties may be necessary as business demands. The position requires physical endurance to stand for extended periods, lift and maneuver heavy items occasionally, and engage actively in setup and breakdown tasks for banquet events.
Choice Hotels also underscores a commitment to equal opportunity and affirmative action hiring practices, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace that does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, veteran status, or any other protected category. Applicants must pass pre-employment background and drug screening, comply with E-Verify requirements, and legally authorize to work in the United States. The company also offers attractive benefits starting from the first day, including discounted parking, free daily meals, discounted room rates at Choice Hotels, dining discounts at Firelake restaurant, and access to an Employee Assistance Program. Choosing a career as a Banquet Server with Choice Hotels is an opportunity to join a venerable brand with a history of quality service, robust growth, and a rich global reach within the hospitality industry.
