Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience
  • Prior lead or captain experience in banquet or event environment preferred
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations
  • Must maintain valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • Compliance with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • Food handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Open availability and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience
  • Prior lead or captain experience in a banquet or event environment preferred
  • Valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • Food handler certification as required by state or local regulations
  • Ability to work flexible and varying shifts
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Provide direct on-floor leadership during banquet and catered events
  • Coordinate service execution and direct banquet servers and banquet porters
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and alcohol service policies
  • Assist with training and onboarding of banquet service staff
  • Participate in event setup, service, and breakdown
  • Maintain focus on guest satisfaction, communication, and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with banquet supervisor, culinary team, and service staff for smooth event execution
  • Frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Attend work on time and with satisfactory regularity
