Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of event laws and regulations
  • Capability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Willingness to work full time in Chicago, Illinois

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related professional area
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairings and current event trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage inventories and maintain equipment
  • Experience in customer service and guest relations

Job Duties

  • Manage banquet operations including projecting supply needs such as tables and chairs
  • Apply knowledge of laws related to event management
  • Oversee event setup and ensure compliance with established standards and sanitation levels
  • Schedule and coordinate Event Services staff to meet service standards and maximize profitability
  • Assist in developing lasting client relationships to retain and grow business
  • Lead and participate in banquet team shifts and department meetings
  • Communicate and coordinate between Banquets, Event Planning, Event Technology teams, and clients throughout the event
