The Woodcliff Hotel and Spa, a distinguished property under the Schulte Hospitality Group, seeks a skilled and service-oriented Banquet Manager to join their team. This full-time, salaried role offers an annual salary of $65,000 and presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and banquet management. The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of banquet and meeting services to ensure maximum profitability and guest satisfaction. Job Duties

  • Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales and labor costs
  • Achieve maximum profitability and overall success by controlling costs and quality of service
  • Completion of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Produce a weekly schedule for hotel food and beverage staff according to business levels and labor budgets
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet setups and service
  • Completion of Banquet Bar Requisitions
  • Follow proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures
  • Maintain records for inventory, labor cost, and food cost
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing
  • Ensure services meet customer specifications
  • Ensure quality of meeting room setup
  • Brief staff before events
  • Ensure timely room turnover for consecutive events
  • Maintain cleanliness before, during, and after events
  • Participate in overall hotel maintenance and cleanliness
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Work with Catering Sales Manager to increase department sales
  • Assist with show rounds as necessary
  • Check staff attitude and appearance
  • Foster teamwork and professional relations
  • Ensure proper staff training
  • Complete training checklists timely
  • Conduct staff training and development
  • Complete annual performance reviews
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring for Banquets team
  • Support personal development and growth
  • Perform other duties to meet business objectives
