The role of Banquet Houseperson at Hyatt Regency Tamaya plays a pivotal part in the seamless execution of events hosted at the resort. This role primarily involves preparing and setting up various event spaces, from banquet halls to conference rooms, according to detailed specifications provided by Banquet or Event Managers. Responsibilities include the arrangement of tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and decor, while ensuring that all event areas are clean, organized, and ready for guest arrival. The position demands strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent teamwork skills to support smooth event operations in a fast-paced and customer-facing environment. In addition to setup duties, the Banquet Houseperson assists with moving furniture, equipment, and other supplies, working closely with banquet servers, event coordinators, and other team members to uphold high standards of service. Job Duties

  • Set up banquet rooms, conference rooms, and event spaces according to event orders and floor plans
  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and decor as specified by the event necessities
  • Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and safe prior to guest arrival
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Work closely with Banquet Servers, Event Coordinators, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the banquet and events team
