Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous banquet kitchen experience
- strong English communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts
- physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- availability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- ability to remember and promote menu items and recipes
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- effective communication skills verbally and in writing
- strong organizational and prioritization skills
- knowledge of sanitation standards
- experience supervising kitchen staff
- ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, broilers, grills, and deep fryers
- ability to handle physical activity throughout shift
Job Duties
- Assign specific duties to banquet staff for efficient kitchen operation
- train and supervise kitchen staff in menu item preparation
- ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products
- adhere to procedures for food cost and quality control
- provide guest satisfaction through outstanding service
- write recipes, maintain inventory and order supplies
- schedule staff to maintain cost control
