Job Requirements

  • Experience in high-volume food preparation, preferably in a banquet or catering environment
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, prep techniques, and proper kitchen equipment use
  • Ability to stay focused and efficient in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility with scheduling-shifts generally start around 8:00am, but may vary based on event needs (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability
  • Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-volume banquet meals while maintaining exceptional culinary standards
  • Cook a variety of menu items, including hot and cold dishes: soups, salads, proteins, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes
  • Assemble visually appealing cold display trays for events and buffets
  • Follow banquet event orders (BEOs) and chef instructions to ensure food is prepared accurately and on time
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food safety and sanitation practices in all prep and cooking areas
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to meet event deadlines and execute smooth service
  • Adapt to changing schedules and priorities depending on business levels and event demands
