The Ritz-Carlton culinary team is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Banquet Cook. This position involves preparing and presenting banquet plates and platters while supporting buffet and banquet services with adequate food stock and action station management. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of related kitchen experience and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare a variety of foods according to standardized recipes and quality expectations.

As a Banquet Cook at The Ritz-Carlton, you will engage in multiple culinary tasks including ingredient preparation, chopping, portioning, and cooking. You will also be responsible for cold food preparation and monitoring the quality and safety standards throughout the food preparation process. Maintaining cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, and equipment is a critical part of the job, alongside ensuring compliance with all company safety and security policies. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various tasks that require reaching and stooping.

Job Duties

  • Prepare proper plate and platter presentations for banquets
  • set up and operate action stations for banquet or buffet
  • carve buffet meats as requested by guests
  • support banquet and buffet by ensuring adequate stock of all items
  • operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods
  • prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
