Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a banquet cook
  • Certified food handler license
  • ServSafe Allergen certification
  • Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
  • Start food items prepared ahead ensuring no overproduction
  • Date and rotate food containers per Crescent standards maintaining proper temperatures
  • Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation, freezer pulls, and line setups
  • Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • Assist in keeping buffet stocked and correcting food cost problems
  • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
