Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday
- Work varying days, nights, holidays and weekends
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, turning, lifting, and climbing
- Ability to communicate quickly and accurately
- Ability to understand and maintain safety standards at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food preparation for large events preferred
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to adapt to changing menu requirements and portion sizes
- Experience handling high-pressure cooking environments
Job Duties
- Menu planning by collaborating with clients or event planners to create appropriate menus
- Food preparation of large quantities for timely serving during events
- Kitchen coordination by managing kitchen staff for smooth operation
- Quality control to ensure taste, presentation, and safety standards are met
- Adaptability to adjust recipes and portions for guest numbers
- Communication with catering managers, chefs, and staff to resolve issues
- Stress management during high-demand event periods
