Levy is currently seeking a Banquet/Clubs Manager to join the team at the University of Michigan location. This role is pivotal in overseeing all banquet and event operations to ensure flawless execution from the initial setup to the event's conclusion. The Banquet/Clubs Manager will coordinate closely with clients, event planners, and internal teams to deliver outstanding event experiences, managing not only operational needs but also maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and service. The position demands strong leadership skills, as the manager will be responsible for scheduling, training, and supervising banquet staff, ensuring that all activities align with the event specifications and Levy’s respected service standards.

The role requires hands-on supervision of room setup, decor, and food and beverage service, along with vigilant monitoring of inventory, equipment, and supply levels necessary for banquet operations. Compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations is imperative, as is addressing guest needs promptly and efficiently during events. Financial acumen is also essential, as the Banquet/Clubs Manager will track labor and operational costs to meet budgetary goals. Collaboration with culinary and operations teams to execute menus and service timings effectively rounds out this comprehensive managerial position.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in banquet catering or hospitality management
  • Proven experience managing events in a high-volume or upscale environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service banquet operations and event coordination
  • Experience with scheduling staffing and team leadership
  • Knowledge of food safety sanitation and alcohol service regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management or POS systems
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business or related field preferred
