  • three to six months related experience and/or training
  • ability to read and speak English
  • must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Review assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to events
  • conduct pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards, assign stations and partners, and review banquet event orders
  • communicate with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to ensure event details are planned and met
  • ensure appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available and requisition as needed
  • check room set-up prior to event and confirm food quantities and timing with Executive Chef
  • ensure proper handling and storage of equipment after use
  • conduct random audits during functions to evaluate food and service quality
  • regularly review banquet schedule for changes and special events
  • incorporate safe work practices
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • perform other duties as required
