Job Description
This job opening is at a prominent hospitality establishment specializing in hotel banquet services. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences for guests by ensuring flawless service and meticulously executed functions. With a solid reputation in the hospitality industry, the hotel emphasizes quality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction throughout its banquet and catering operations. The position is available for either full-time or part-time employment, offering a competitive hourly wage of $22 to $23. This range reflects the company’s commitment to attracting experienced and capable professionals who can contribute to upholding its high standards of service and hospitality.
The Banquet Manager role is a critical supervisory position within the hotel's event services team. The primary responsibility is to manage banquet operations efficiently and to act as the lead point of contact during events, especially when the Banquet Manager is not available. This position involves direct supervision of banquet staff, ensuring that all functions are properly set up, timed, and executed in line with the banquet event orders (BEOs). A key element of the role is facilitating smooth communication between the hotel and its guests, serving as the liaison to guarantee guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
In addition to supervisory duties, the Banquet Manager is expected to take on hands-on roles such as serving or assisting with setup when necessary. This flexibility underscores the collaborative team environment fostered by the hotel. The role places strong emphasis on adherence to sanitation, safety protocols, and food handling standards mandated by both the hotel and health departments. Maintaining personal hygiene and a professional demeanor is considered essential. The Banquet Manager must also be knowledgeable about all fire and emergency procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include physically inspecting function rooms to verify readiness, analyzing daily banquet event orders for accuracy, and assuring punctual delivery of services. The Banquet Manager contributes to creating positive guest experiences and promotes a harmonious work environment through proactive guest and employee relations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with previous banquet management or wedding captain experience to lead and support a dedicated team while ensuring successful event operations and superior guest service.
